How to File a Complaint
- 1Login with mobile number + OTP
- 2Click 'Report Cyber Crime' (or 'Report Women/Child Related Crime' for that category)
- 3Fill personal details and incident narrative
- 4Upload evidence — screenshots, chat logs, transaction IDs (max 10 MB per file, JPG or PDF)
- 5Submit and note your Acknowledgement Number + email confirmation
Important Notes
- A portal complaint is NOT an FIR — it is an application that can escalate to FIR if evidence supports it
- Losses above ₹10 lakh reported via NCRP or 1930 can trigger an automatic Zero FIR at the e-Crime Police Station of Delhi (introduced May 2025)
- You can track your complaint: Portal → 'Track Your Complaint' → verify via mobile OTP → enter your 14/16-digit acknowledgement number
- The portal has a 'Suspect Repository' — you can check if a phone number, email, account, or URL is already flagged as linked to cybercrime
