Privacy Policy

The short version
Cyber Saathi does not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal information. Your progress (quiz scores, checklist items) is saved only on your own device — it never leaves your browser. The only data that touches a server is your AI Tutor messages, and those are not stored.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. There is no account system, no login, and no registration. We do not know who you are.
There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, no advertising SDKs, and no cookies on this site — not even a cookie consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
What stays on your device
The following data is saved in your browser's localStorage so the app remembers your progress between visits. It never leaves your device and is never sent to us:
- ✓Checklist items you have ticked
- ✓Quiz scores for each completed module
- ✓Your preferred language (English or Hindi)
- ✓Your preferred text size (Seniors accessibility feature)
- ✓Dark / light mode preference
- ✓Trusted contact name saved in the Seniors module
You can clear this data at any time by going to your browser's developer tools → Application → Local Storage → Clear all.
The AI Tutor chat
The AI Tutor uses Llama 3.3 via Groq to generate responses. When you send a message:
- Your message is sent to Groq's API via our server.
- Groq generates a response, which is sent back to you.
- We do not log, store, or analyse your conversations.
- Groq's own privacy policy applies to API interactions — see groq.com/privacy-policy.
Practical guidance: Do not type your UPI PIN, bank password, or full Aadhaar number into the AI chat. Ask about types of scams and prevention steps — not your specific account details.
Third-party links
This site links to official government portals (cybercrime.gov.in, sancharsaathi.gov.in, etc.). Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or data practices — always check the URL before entering information.
