Same Start, Units Add to 10

A famous special case: e.g. 43 × 47 — both start with 4, and 3 + 7 = 10

The Rule

  1. 1Works when both numbers share the same leading digits, and their last digits add up to exactly 10.
  2. 2Left part = the leading part × (leading part + 1).
  3. 3Right part = the product of the two last digits.
  4. 4Write the left part followed by the right part (padded to 2 digits).
