Both Numbers Above the Base

Nikhilam for numbers just over 100, like 104 × 107

The Rule

  1. 1Find how far each number is above the base (its excess).
  2. 2Left part = one number + the other's excess.
  3. 3Right part = excess × excess, with as many digits as the base has zeros (carry any extra).
