Percentage Swap

x% of y = y% of x — use whichever is easier

The Rule

  1. 1x% of y is always equal to y% of x.
  2. 2Swap them when the other side is an easy percentage (10%, 20%, 25%, 50%).
  3. 3Then use the fraction: 25% = 1/4, 20% = 1/5, 50% = 1/2, 10% = 1/10.
