The mixing ratio from (high − mean) : (mean − low)

The Rule

  1. 1Put the cheaper (low) and dearer (high) values on either side of the target mean.
  2. 2Ratio of low : high = (high − mean) : (mean − low).
  3. 3Simplify the ratio.
